Most designers this season are sticking to what they do best, and in Louise Goldin's case, it was those perfectly engineered knits. The look was slightly bordering on Xena Warrior Princess, but of course, in a good way.

ANOUCK AT MARK FAST
Here's the only image I managed to snap at Mark's show. The clothes were amazing as always, but the backstage way too crowded!
SLASH IT AT ANN-SOFIE BACK
I took those with a digital camera for a change. Still a lot to learn, but I think I'm slowly getting there! I loved the slashes, cropped jackets and wet hair by Raphael Salley.

GYPSY GIRLS AND GRUNGE FANATICS AT MEADHAM KIRCHOFF
Meadham Kirchoff parted the audience with their offering for a rubbish fairy. The clothes kind of looked like a wardrobe of a Shinjuku girl, who listened to too much Kurt Cobain! For me, this was probably the most creative and imaginative collection I saw all week.

CIRCUS DREAMS
Once the fashion week is over, I would love to do some backstage pictures in a circus. Giraffes, elephants, dancers, a man who swallows fire and walks the rope. Imagine! My sister once went to this countryside circus in Poland, where one of the attractions included a lady walking up a ladder in impossibly high heels. Not that different from fashion week then.

THIS WEEK
Apologies for the lack of posting, but I've been busy scouting guys for a street feature for NYLON JAPAN. Here's a little behind-the-scenes moment of me trying to get the right shot of Rasharn (and nothing works better than sitting on the wet pavement!) of the amazing JAIDEN RVA JAMES. Spotted by Jaiden.

HOPE YOU'RE FEELING HAPPY NOW
Another month and another great loss to the fashion industry. Alexander McQueen committed suicide in his London apartment this morning. I don't know what attracts so many creative people to death, but truth be told: depression is depression, yet working in such a dog eat dog industry certainly doesn't help. So instead of trying to figure out why, let's remember him by the beautifully violent, romantic vision - something he once pioneered.
All of the backstage pictures above were taken by Ann Ray, a long-time collaborator of McQueen. Her book is due to come out this year.

A SONG FOR TODAY
So proud of my friend Lucretia, who styled this amazing video for The Editors! The video was shot last year in Cracow by Christopher Doyle - the mastermind behind such movies as "In the Mood for Love".
